Enclosed in this welcome packet you will find information on our organization, our mission and our objectives as well as how you can join us and become the Ninth Oar that helps our beloved boats go that much faster, that much easier.

The Ninth Oar is an organization built upon the principles of teamwork and dedication fostered by many of our own experiences in collegiate or other levels of rowing. In the spirit of the sport, we are delighted at the prospect of welcoming you to our ranks by offering you several levels of membership, each with its own membership packages. Along with your membership, the services you may offer in support of our sponsored athletes will be instrumental in the continued success of Sonoma’s collegiate oarsmen who have already performed exceptionally on the race course in the short lifespan of Sonoma rowing.

Though all levels of involvement are eagerly welcomed, the Ninth Oar encourages members to consider how they might expand their involvement to performing some function in the service of our oarsmen. Whether you might provide administrative services, serve in the governance of our organization, or provide financial assistance for equipment purchasing or even an endowed scholarship we encourage you to consider your own possibilities while reading through this packet.
