WHERE WE ARE

Through the hard work of the athletes and generous support of our donors, Sonoma State University Rowing Team has made amazing progress in a very short amount of time. The team has been around for 13 years and has quickly become the most popular club sport on campus. Almost doubling in size since last season, we now have 60 athletes training daily and hold several regional and national titles.

THE EVENT

We are holding an Erg-A-Thon where each rower will attempt to complete 20,000 meters (half-marathon).  This is over three times the distance of the longest fall season race.  Each athlete will row for several hours on average to complete this distance.

GOAL FOR ERG-A-THON

We hope to raise $5,000 with the event to help us purchase equipment that will allow us to grow and continue to provide a competitive experience for our student-athletes.  Each athlete already contributes $1,000 per year in dues and fundraising which goes toward the day-to-day costs of running the team. This includes equipment maintenance, coaching, facilities, race entry fees, uniforms, travel, insurance, and other expenses.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The Sonoma State University Rowing Team is a student-run and student-funded club. We rely on donations and assistance from generous individuals and organizations to supplement the dues paid by our athletes. These funds provide for occasional equipment purchases, upgrades, and regular maintenance that helps push our teams farther and faster. We are looking for flat-rate or per meter donations from our supporters to help us succeed in the season to come. Thank you very much for your generosity and helping us continue in our push towards victory.
